Some Outstanding Image Editing Software Applications
In the twenty-first century, image editing software programs are not an option, but a necessity. You can use them to perfect photo memories of weddings and anniversaries. They can be used to design promotional flyers and pamphlets. Some people just use the software for adding special effects that the camera can’t.
1. Adobe Photoshop
The most widely-used image editing software is Adobe Photoshop. Adobe products have a reputation for being professional and top-tier. There’s no doubt that Photoshop is the best software available f or editing images. It offers countless features, unknown to other programs.
2. GIMP
An acronym for GNU Image Manipulation Program, GIMP is trailing behind Adobe Photoshop in popularity. It offers just about the same creation templates and editing tools as Photoshop, with minor differences.
3. Fireworks
Fireworks is also an image editing software created by Adobe. This program is listed as number because, although it has amazing quality, Fireworks is especially for web designers. The features are enhanced specifically for editing images made for web content. So, this program is not great for everybody.
4. Inkscape
Inkscape is a good program that edits images well. However, there are fewer features offered, in terms of formats and tools, than the ones previously listed.
5. Pixelmator
Pixelmator is only for Mac computers. It’s quite easy to use, making it ideal for people who only use image editing for personal use. Pixelmator is last on this list because it’s not universal for all computers and it’s pretty simple.
Everyone should own at least one of the programs listed. You’ll need it for tweaking personal portraits or adding flare to a photo of friends. Pick the one that best fits your needs, not the one that is highest ranked. And realize that all of these programs will take a while for their functions to be fully understood.
