Shaolin Temple - Matte Painter / Compositor - 3D/2D Animation
This is my completed Animated Movie. This took me from September 2009 - December 2009 This is the Shaolin Temple I designed back in Octobor. www.youtube.com This is a mix between hand drawn 2d animation and 3D animation. I drew all of the frames in Photoshop, animated in final cut, then pasted video on thin walls I created in Maya At the last minute, I decided to use the Toon Shader in Maya to add a cel-shaded effect. For the images on the outside of the temple, I sketched 5 different animals that represents the 5 animals of Kung Fu (Crane, Snake, Mantis, Tiger and Dragon) In Photoshop I used the Calligraphy Brushes to sketch the lines. The Programs I used was Maya for the 3D modeling after effects for the Maya importing Photoshop for all of the 2D Character Coloring and Effects Final Cut Pro to string all of the videos together. The Music i used was: Jago (shakuhachi_remix) from the videogame Killer Instinct Gold And as an easter egg, I added a poster of Chun Li from Street Fighter, Feng-Wei from Tekken, and Bruce Lee. I also added two original drawings I have done as poster as well. Enjoy
